The last last several weeks have been super busy with a newborn, so I haven't gotten pictures up sooner but we just got back Zoey's newborn pictures (2 weeks) - done by my cousin Jennifer at Pocket Full of Poses Photography - so I had to post some of my favorites!

I love Zoey so much and being a mother is wonderful! I'm just hoping someday I'll get sleep again :)

A couple of weeks ago my sister, Laura, hosted a wonderful baby shower for me!! She did a great job planning and throwing it. My other sister, Staci, and mom helped out lots too and I'm so thankful for all they did to make it such a great time!

We played a few games but we mostly only got pictures of playing the diaper game. Which is where you have to guess what kind of smashed chocolate candy bar is in the diaper!

Rafa's birthday was last weekend and that also happened to be the weekend of the 1st Ward Family Reunion. Rafa was a sport to spend it with my family doing water activities that day, which is one thing he really does not like. We will eventually get him to enjoy water though, as swimming is one of my favorite activities!

Crib Bedding

We have been waiting FOREVER to get out crib bedding set in the mail. And it finally arrived this week. It was worth the wait. I absolutely love it!

A few quick shots of it. I will have to post some better ones later on and also more of the nursery when we have it set up the way we like and get some decorations on the wall! So exciting. We are ready for little Zoey to be here!

So i've been horrible with pictures lately! We've had lots of family gatherings too and I just always forget to get out the camera and take pictures. I'll blame it on pregnancy and a forgetful mind! :) Pregnancy sure has been quite the roller coaster and full of surprises but I can't wait for our little girl to get here! We have made some good progress in her room this last weekend and will get pictures taken when it's picture ready!

This was this last week at 23 weeks. Over the last week I fill like I have gotten lots bigger and my belly a lot more solid. I also now am enjoying lower back pain and heartburn! Always on to something else! Haha
I will try and scan some pictures in of the little one here soon to post as well.

New House

So we moved about a month and a half ago to a new place in Orem. We love it! It's so nice to be closer to family and other things. I don't miss the other house as much as I thought I would, probably because this is a pretty sweet duplex. I promised Staci pictures forever ago and here they are!

The backyard is very nice and we have a fence that seperates our yard from the other half so each duplex has their private space which is great. We also have a garage that we love!

Idaho Falls

I love taking trips to Idaho Falls to visit family. It's been so nice having Staci and Kyle there as well since we can see them at the same time we visit Kevin and Becky (which means you should stay there and not go to Boise in the future!). We always have such a great time and I love visiting them and seeing the kids!!

How grateful I am for all those who have sacrificed of themselves in the past, present, and future to defend our country and grant us our freedoms. It is amazing and so hard what they go through and there are not words to express how grateful I am for that. They sacrifice so much and go through things I cannot imagine. I am so proud of my husband, Rafa, and so happy he is here with me now. He served for four years and spent half that time in Iraq serving with the 1-77.

A few weeks ago we went hiking up Grove Creek Canyon with my dad and sister, Laura. It was beautiful!! The leaves were changing and it was a perfect time to go.

Northern California

This past weekend Rafa and I took a trip to Northern California to visit our friends Jimmy and Eli. They live in Santa Rosa. I fell in LOVE with it! I did not know it was so lush and green!! The hills and all the trees. I love it! I could definitely see myself living in that area. Rafa and I both really liked Santa Rosa, Sonoma, and San Rafael. While we were there Jimmy and Eli were great hosts. We went to Dillon Beach, San Fransisco, the Russian River, and Sonoma to see the vineyards.

My first quilt!! At work I do a sewing group with my friend Jan. Well I don't do much since I am just learning about sewing machines but I have learned alot. With the help of some others I completed my T-shirt quilt and although it was difficult it was lots of fun!

Blue Angels

Several weeks ago Rafa and I went up to Idaho Falls to visit the family. While we were there we were able to see the Blue Angels. It was lots of fun and the kids just loved it, which made it that much more exciting! It was the first time I had seen them and I thought it was pretty cool.

A couple of weeks ago Rafa's best friend Joey left for a month of training before his deployment to Afghanistan. We are so sad to see him go but so thankful for such brave men like him who sacrifice so much to defend our country. We plan on having a tropical vacation getaway with his family next summer after he returns!!

For our honeymoon Rafa and I went to Island Park, Idaho. It is a little town that is home to many cabins and wild animals. I was scared the whole time I would run into a bear! Island Park is very close to Yellowstone and so we spent a day there.

Rafa and I went to Illinois last week so that he could see where I grew up. We also had a party hosted by Angie so that he could get to know some of my close friends from Illinois. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year!! We had lots of fun being able to open presents and spend some of the Christmas holiday with Aaron, Sarah, Kimball, Simon, and Eleanor!! Then on Christmas Eve we headed up to Kevin and Becky's to spend Christmas with their family and Staci & Kyle. Rafa had to stay in Provo because of work and that was no fun being apart for the holiday.

Over Labor Day weekend Laura and I went up to Idaho for Madalyn's baby blessing. It was a quick trip as we went up there Saturday night and came back Monday but we had lots of fun!

Last weekend I went down to Las Vegas for a quick trip. It too short of a trip and I will have to get back down there again this summer. I went down and stayed with my old roommate Samantha. We had lots of fun together!

I got to go to my old work at Kelly Hawkins and see some of the people I worked with. It was so much fun to see them and catch up. I went out to lunch with my old boss' and they offered me my job back! :) I also enjoyed being at the office and visiting with all my friends there. It definately made me miss Vegas.

Last weekend we had visitors come into town. Aaron and Sarah came into town for her mission reunion and family reunion so Sam, Lisa, and their kids along with Staci and Kyle came down as well for a fun filled weekend. We missed Kevin and Becky and also the parents but we had a good time. We got to have them stay in our new house too so that was great. We enjoyed time together at the swimming pool, temple open house, Aunt Barbara's, temple square, and Aunt Deanne's. It was so much fun to see lots of family and all be together. We wish it could happen more often!

Spiders

A while back (over Memorial Day weekend) we found a couple of interesting spiders in our house. We have had lots of them but don't worry we sprayed and what not for them and so hopefully that takes care of the problem.

I came home after church one Sunday and found this on the kitchen floor. But this was after I had already seen it outside (below) and done research on it because it freaked me out, needless to say. It looks poisonous and like it could do serious damage. But actually it is a jumping spider (it can only jump about length of body) and they are not aggressive with humans and actually eat other spiders. So I felt better after that but still I hope to not see anymore in the house!

This spider is also very freaky and looks poisonous and we found it on the wall downstairs in the office. I am not sure if it's dangerous or what kind it is but hopefully since we sprayed they are all long gone. I dislike spiders but not as much as I HATE bees.

We also killed a black widow outside the house on the front wall a couple of weeks ago (before spraying). So i really hope the spray we bought works well!! :)

Memorial Day Weekend

Over Memorial Day Weekend Laura and I went up to Idaho Falls and then stopped in Logan. We got to Kevin and Becky's Friday night and spent through Sunday with them and also Staci and Kyle. We had lots of fun up there. We spent lots of time jumping on the new trampoline with the boys and then Saturday we went for a hike. Sunday night we went and stayed with Sam and Lisa in their new home and then Monday we went to the park for a picnic and then looked at their little zoo they have by the park.

Kyle and Owen giving the thumbs up. Kyle was nice enough to bring his 4 Wheeler over for us to ride on Saturday evening. We all had lots of fun taking it around Kevin's backyard. It was Laura and mine's first time riding one and I loved it! I can't wait to do it again! Thanks Kyle! You're the best brother-in-law ever!! :)

The boys love their new trampoline and wanted to jump forever! I sure got a good workout with them this weekend. It was lots of fun. The boys are so cute! Wes liked to sit in our lap while the other of us jumped because he was too scared to sit by himself and bounce that high.

Owen sure enjoyed bouncing around too.

Saturday morning I went on a hike with Becky, Owen, and Wes. We met up with some of Becky's family who went camping the night before. It's always fun to hang out with Becky's family. I enjoyed the hike and it had some very pretty views!

Ogden Half Marathon...13.1 Miles

Well back in December I was at a mission reunion and I was catching up with a girl from my mission. She told me she had run a half marathon in Ogden back in May and that she wanted to do it again the upcoming May but didn't have anybody to do it with. So I gladly volunteered. I have always wanted to run a marathon, I thought it would be a great accomplishment but thought it best to start with a half!! So we signed up and I started my training towards the end of January. Training was a good excuse to get back into jogging, which I hadn't been doing for a long time! I enjoyed getting back into it but I started to get burnt out the beginning of April. I started slacking a little because of being burnt out and I was in the process of moving. I managed to pull through and got back on track, but I wish I would have worked harder the last few weeks.

Laura got me some nice flowers afterwards. I was pretty sore Saturday and Sunday. My knees and back are what hurt real bad and they didn't even bother me while I was training. I think because alot of the run was downhill through the canyon and I wasn't use to that. It was easier running on the flat ground. I missed my goal by a couple of minutes but I am not bothered by it because it was my first marathon, I finished, I ran the WHOLE time, and I was super close! We shall see about the future. I would like to do another half this fall and maybe the full marathon next May....

New House

Laura recently moved back and we moved into a cute little house. It's so fun and so wonderfully nice to have our own little place. I love not having roommates anymore. So far we have gotten along just great ! :) And I'm sure it will go well. It'll be fun to have this place in the summer and hopefully have some bbqs and parties.

Birthday Celebration

This last weekend I went up to Idaho. I had a Recreation Therapy Conference in Blackfoot all day Friday and so I stayed with Kevin and Becky for the weekend. Staci and Kyle came down and we got to celebrate Staci and my birthday together. On Saturday we went to the Titanic exhibit at the museum, the mall, to dinner, and then home for some cake! It was lots of fun and I'm glad I got to celebrate with Staci and some of the family.

Yesterday for my birthday I had a great day (but forgot to take pictures!). I went to work and some of my co-workers and I went out to lunch. I then met up with Natalie and we did some shopping and had a late dinner with another friend. We then went to see the movie Duplicity (kind of weird). It was a fun day!

Wes is so cute. He loves dressing up and playing. He wanted his bandana on so he could be a pirate. He has such a cute little imagination and is so fun to be around.

Thanksgiving!!

For Thanksgiving I went up to Idaho, but first I made a stop at Sam and Lisa's in Logan. It was lots of fun to see them and their new place. I haven't seen them in forever!! I stayed with them on Wednesday and then drove up to Idaho Falls on Thursday.

Reunion and Craft Time!!

A couple of weeks ago Megan came from Washington to visit. It was so much fun! I hadn't seen her since her wedding in January (it's been way too long). While she was here we did some fun craft projects (can't wait until next time!).

This is a very cute craft that I made with Megan and Natalie. We got the idea from Roberts (it wasn't a holiday one but we decided to make it that way!!) It was so much fun having Megan here to visit and doing fun craft projects all together.

Then we also made blocks that I stole the idea from my sister-in-law and her sisters. One side says Autumn and the other side is Winter. They were so much fun to make!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful sister-in-law!! I don't normally put up birthday posts, but I thought I would today. Becky sure puts up with me a lot. I love to go up to Idaho to visit them and she is always so welcoming to me in their home. She is a great hostess and so fun to be with. The Quilted Bear

So I have a major weak spot for the Quilted Bear. It is the cutest store with the best decorations. Everytime I go in there I want to buy it all! I wish I had lots of money. Whenever I walk in there I get so happy. It's such a pleasant place to be! :) I gave in and got a couple of decorations during the last two weeks.

When I saw this Christmas decoration I had to have it. It was screaming, "Rosanne buy me!!". And I had to set it up to see how it would look...it's still up. :)

And of course it is still Halloween time and I got this super cute "prison" pumpkin! I love it! I went back to get a bigger one too, but they were all gone. :(

I can't wait until I have a house to decorate! I hope Quilted Bear is still around then!!

Because of the flurries we had last Saturday and the fact that it's been soooo cold, I am ready for Christmas! I realize Halloween is still not here and I am excited for that and have all my decorations out, but it is just so cold it's like winter! I don't know what happened to fall this year, it sure got skipped. I have heard it's suppose to get a little warmer this weekend but we shall see. I will admit too that I have listened to Christmas music on my i-pod the last few nights when going to bed. :)

A couple of weeks ago, a small group of us went up to Salt Lake to have some fun. We first went to a park, I think its called Freedeom Park. Then we headed over to the Melting Pot for some yummy dessert.

Angie's Wedding

On August 23rd one of my very best friend's got married and I was able to celebrate in her day as a bridesmaid. It was a lot of fun spending a couple of days with her before her marriage.

Lacey, me, Sarah, Crane, and Leaky. We were on the party bus after the wedding (on the way to take more pictures and then the reception) and the windows were open, so we are a little wind blown. A party bus for those of you who don't know (which i didn't before this event) is a school bus turned into exactly what it's called, a party bus. Angie had a large wedding party, so this was big enough to fit us all in. The five of us were bridesmaids and then Angie's sister, Val, was the matron of honor.

Lisa and I were great friends in high school. We were on the swim team together and swam the breast stroke. I love this girl. We had so much fun together, so many good memories of endless laughing. I spent many many mornings, afternoons, and weekends swimming with her and then lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons. Such great times.

While at home, of course I went to my favorite place on earth...Nauvoo, Illinois. Every since I was little we use to go there in the summers. It is breath takingly beautiful and so peaceful. I am sad I still have not been able to see the new pageant...hopefully next year.

Staci got married about a month ago and then two weeks later there was a reception for her in Illinois. Laura and I were lucky enough to be able to go home for it. It was great to see so many friends and loved ones.

This weekend we went to Idaho Falls for Staci's wedding (those pictures to come). It was soooo wonderful. The whole family was there and the weekend was just way to short. It was so fun to be with my nephews!! I hate not being able to see them more.

I love the 4th of July!! It is a wonderful wonderful day full of fun festivities and so many people get in the spirit of it. I LOVE it!! Here are a few pictures from the fun filled day.

So we had some drama after the fireworks. We learned there was a fire over by where Natalie and I lived. It was only a few doors down from my apartment in the woods. I live right off a park and somehow the trees caught fire but thanks to the firefighters that got it under control quickly and we didn't have to evacuate! It was intense though. Tons of smoke everywhere.

Lehi Round-up

So Laura and I went to a rodeo in Lehi on Friday night with her ward. It was lots of fun. I went the week before to the Strawberry Days Rodeo in Pleasant Grove and that was my first rodeo ever! It was a great time filled with lots of different events: horse bucking, cattle roping, barrel rides, and of course the bull riding!! It was fun but I think I have had my fill of the rodeo for a while!

Eight Random Facts

I was tagged like forever ago by my sister-in-law to do this but i kept putting it off. I have decided to finally do it, partly because my camera is not working at the moment and so I haven't posted pictures or anything in forever! So here are eight random facts/habits about myself.

1. I hate the mornings (although I have gotten much better since my mission). I dont like to be spoken to or even eat breakfast in the same room as someone else!
2. I was on the swim team. I swam some in middle school and also in high school. I also swam in the off season and worked for my swim coach as a lifeguard and swim teacher. So I spent many years in the water and I loved it! (I need to get back into doing it so I can get back into shape!!) My senior year towards the end of the season I got sick and was unable to complete the swim season which was really hard on me because I missed all the big competitions but I have many fond memories of swimming, the girls, and my coach.
3. I love music. All kinds. I love listening to music and I used to love playing it! Now i don't even know if I could play the saxophone its been so long! I love the way music can affect you and change your mood.
4. I am a middle child but I don't usually feel like one because I am the oldest of the girls so I feel like the oldest.
5. I love white chocolate kit-kat bars.
6. I have a bad temper. I get annoyed and frustrated easy. I also am not one to get in a fight with because I can hold a grudge and be mean. I am not proud of this and have been trying for a long time to change. In my defense I dont like fighting with people and try to resolve conflicts quickly otherwise it just stews.
7. I dream of living in Africa. I have wanted to for a very long time. I want to live in a little village and ride the elephants for transportation! I dont know if I would last a long time there but I would like to do it for a short period of time.
8. I love kids! I have 6 super cute nephews and finally I have a niece on the way!! I am glad my mom did day care while I was growing up. I learned lots and fell in love with lots of great kids.

The Trusty Car

After many many MANY years of loyal friendship, companionship, and durability it was finally time to say goodbye and part ways with the 1991 Chevy Cavalier. It lived a full life, traveling many miles (over 250,000..the odometer stopped working) and spent the remainder of its days in Provo, Utah (it couldn't go any further). We will surely miss our favorite car.

Stake Activity

On Friday night I went to Laura's Stake Activity and it was so much fun! They had lots of activities and there was good company.

Me, Laura, and Jessica in a hot air balloon!! This is what got us to the activity in the first place and then all it was was a short ride straight up and then back down :( ... but it was still fun.

Big Night

I am so excited for Grey's Anatomy tonight! The 2 hour season finale. I love it. Although, I am sad that it is ending for the summer. Sad. How will I survive? I will have to find another T.V. show to latch onto for a few months! I was also very excited about David Cook winning last night. I was a little surprised at the results after the show on Tuesday, but I am glad that Cook won!! I love Grey's Anatomy, it just started and it looks so good! I need Derek and Meredith to get back together!!

Mother's Day

Last weekend I went to Idaho with my sister, Laura, and my Mom for Kevin's graduation. Kevin graduated from ISU in physical therapy. It was a great weekend loaded with lots of fun. I haven't been to Idaho in over a year, so it was great to go up there again. It was especially great to be able to be with my nephews!!

Ok, so I have finally decided to start a blog. My family keeps bugging me to have one too, but I kept saying there was no point since nothing interesting is really going on in my life. But in the end I have decided to do one because I look at there's everyday and thought maybe the few things that I actually do do would be nice for them to see since I always like to check up on there's to see what's going on. It is a good way to keep up to date with family and friends since we are all so spread out. I am new to the whole blogging idea though so it might take me a while to figure out what's going on and how to make it look nice! :)
